Background

I created The “Speak Up!” Program as an alternative to the traditional approach to communication skills training. My thinking: we are all unique, therefore, training must be specific to the individual and presentations must be crafted to the specific audience.

I personally run every session and believe successful presentations can only be delivered by presenters confident enough in their own skills to stay focused on their audience no matter its size.

Confidence comes when we:

• Enhance and expand the qualities that make us unique.
• Search and develop the skills and knowledge we lack.
• Practice until we become “naturals”

Trained as an actress, performing in television, film and theater; I created and ran
the Radio Department at Doyle Dane Bernbach Advertising; customized programs for training firms, and worked as a spokesperson and lobbyist before starting The “Speak Up!” Program in 1988.
